The importance of destination AND journey

This video was taken a couple of years ago on my ‘pinch me’ new years day on Whitehaven Beach in the Great Barrier Reef.
The beauty was breath taking.
As I walked, I realised how much I’d done to get there.
From setting the big, seemingly-impossible-to-achieve destination (of being my own business, setting my own agenda, working from abroad when possible)…
…and the step, step, step to get there.
I had set both the destination AND journey.
The trick was knowing what to focus on and when.
When to look up and reconnect to the big picture
When to look down to see where I was going.
It's easy to get lost in the steps (busy for busy’s sake), when the destination is fuzzy or scary.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the destination, if the steps are ill defined (so, become easy to ignore - because I'm 'sooooo busy'!).
If you need help to define and focus your vision, give me a shout. It’s what I do.
And for anyone who spotted it - my tattoo reads ‘Curiosity’ in Sanskrit.
Each step I take has curiosity as its intention. Lead with your best foot forward, right?!
